Is a branded design system created for the members of a fictitious group called The Carve Collective. The project explores the idea of creating a brand from start to finish including establishing a company name, mission statement, principles, color scheme, logo and branded materials.

Develop and create a brand based on a verb of your choosing. I chose the verb “Carve” to base my brand on.

Conceive and design a cohesive voice, style and components for the fictitious brand The Carve Collective.

The development of a brand that utilizes simple line, type, color and imagery to establish a successful company aesthetic.

 

Mission Statement

The Carve Collective is a family of small businesses and individuals dedicated to the creation of surfboards with superior craftsmanship. Our goals are to elevate our members within the market through the use of our cohesive design resources and to connect our members with customers seeking the quality products they create.

Crafting surfboards is a complicated process that takes hard work and focus to perfect. The collective aims to create excellence in graphic designs to highlight the quality surfboard creations that our members produce.

The collective is committed to hard work and superior craftsmanship, but what’s life without a little fun. We believe in a balance of work and play, and encourage our members to relax and enjoy the ride.

 

Welcome To The Family.

The collective is a group made up of individuals and small businesses, often family owned and run. As separate members we come together to form the collective family. Our family looks out for each other, provides support and is welcoming to all.

 

Knowledgeable Sportsmen.

The collective is made up of some of the most skilled and knowledgeable craftsmen in the world. We aim to show off our members intelligence and skills by enhancing their professional legitimacy through the use of our resources.

 

Logo

The final Carve Collective logo uses two sizes of the bold san serif font Bebas Neue. The logomark is made up of half-circle rings that form together to create the letter "C" standing for Carve Collective. The lines within the design are representative of the woodgrain often seen on surfboards as well as the ripples of water you see in waves.
